Week 4 B

People are always browsing the internet for products, businesses, or services. Due to this, having a well design website is important to one’s business as it can often be the first impression given to your consumer. A company with a website that is clean and user-friendly builds trust, brand awareness and a strong probability that a customer will return to your site for more business. In other words, a good-looking, well-designed website is essentially a company’s digital brick-in-mortar. While browsing the internet, I tend to only shop on websites that are organized, visually appealing, easy to maneuver, and mobile friendly. Having these things motivates me to continue to do business with you. With that being said, the two website I frequent the most are YouTube and Amazon.

YouTube’s website is extremely well organized and user friendly. What I like most about their site is its homepage. The homepage shows their users important things like updated videos from channels they follow as well as recommended videos based off their browsing history. YouTube’s home page provides easy access to your subscriptions list, browsing history and watch later videos. YouTube is extremely user friendly for consumers and is well organized. I personally use YouTube to acquire knowledge as I mostly watch videos pertaining to health, coding and cooking recopies. The channels I watch does a really good job with organizing their content which makes it easy for their followers to reference back to a specific videos. On a micro level, I would like to see more YouTube creators organize their platform way better.

Amazon’s website is the opposite of the clean, minimalist website trends we see now in days. Instead, their website platform has more an organized cluttered layout. When you enter the page, the top toolbar is filled with random items to purchase. They also have a scrolling image banner and as you scroll down you are hit with a lot of subsections like “Halloween Party Ideas” or “Back to school deals”. Keep scrolling and you see recommended items and previous viewed items. What makes Amazon my favorite website is because they make shopping online extremely easy. It takes less then 5 clicks to purchase an item through their website. Although their homepage is extremely busy, they do keep important links, like recent orders and account information visible for easy access. Their website is also mobile friendly and easy to maneuver through. One thing they can improve on is adding a live chat feature. This would be good for customers who would like to know the status of their order, without having to place a call.

Week 10 A - Appealing To Peoples Emotions

When writing a blog, in the beginning, you are basically faceless. By letting people know there is an actual person behind the words on the screen can spark a connection with you and the customer. Ultimately, adding human interest to your blog allows your readers to connect with you and your business in a more personal and relatable way. For me, reading a blog post that is similar to a personal life experience draws me in to read more. I am also emotionally connected with the writer and become more engaged with their content. Effective human-interest blogs can result in your company differentiating itself from their competition. When a human-interest post is well written, it will captivate their audience, and through its uniqueness, produce a bigger fan base and consumer interaction. A human-interest post may be less effective if you are guest blogging for a company. Especially if you are writing from the standpoint of your own personality while disregarding the company’s ...

Week 15 A

Under Data Activation, the Audience Demographics would integrate well with my company. I would use this feature to learn more about who is viewing my website and need my services. Ultimately everything under the Reporting, category would be extremely beneficial. The available stats would help me get a better understanding of what happens when a user is on my site, what information they focused on the most and which advertising campaign is capturing my audience attention. Data Collection and Management feature will help me stay organize. Having an abundance of data with no organization can be tedious. The import data feature will allow me to import data from other sources and get a better understanding of my advertising campaign. What’s cool about the Google Big Query section is that it provides data driven feedback every 10 minutes. Through the Integration umbrella, features like Google Ads, Google Ad Manager and Search Ad 360 will benefit my company a lot. These features could help...
