Week 4 A

· Identify at least three potential problems for visitors.

http://jamilin.com/ - Although the site contains really good content, the site layout felt messy. While viewing the webpage, my eyes kept darting to different sections as I couldn’t pinpoint which content was more important than the other. Also, the layout of the site feels really outdated also lacks the modern feel of a website in today's world. Lastly, the contact, sign up and social media links were really hard to find.

http://www.roverp6cars.com/ - The sites homepage layout felt extremely disorganized and hard to follow. Similar to the Jamilin.com site, I couldn’t really pinpoint what was most important and where to go. I honestly did not know it was a home page until I started clicking on different links. Next, when I clicked on the online store link, it brought me to a page with extremely small font that was difficult to read. The page also looks like a separate site/company, when compared to the home page. Lastly, placing the navigation bar on the left side of the screen made it extremely hard to find. It was even harder to find since the navigation bar is individual pictures of cars with red font on top of it.

· What could be improved on these websites and why would these improvements help?

http://jamilin.com/ - Important links like the contact, sign up and social media should stand out more. These links are extremely important as they promote engagement with your customers, which in return can grow your social media following and business growth. I would make the layout feel more modern and simple. Adding a hero image with a message or quote. The body of the webpage would be in a grid layout. Kind of like a three box grid layout with pictures and font. A grid layout will help organize the content and make it easier to follow.

http://www.roverp6cars.com/ - First, remove the navigation bar from the left-hand side, and bring it to the top of the screen. The navigation bar should also be converted into a toggle bar to give it a cleaner look. Also remove the photo from the navigation menu as it flushes out the red font, and makes it hard to read. I would also add a hero photo with scrolling images to highlight the important information, like their online store and special events. A grid layout would help organize the home page content. Additionally, their online store should be cohesive with the home page, and everything else on the website. Consumers might get confused and buy elsewhere.

· Identify what they have done right.

https://www.apple.com/ When you enter their website, you are introduced to Apple's latest product. At the time of this blog post, their homepage displayed their newest item, the IphoneX phone, and Apple watches. When I’m on their site am ready to purchase something, even though I really don’t need anything. Basically, their site makes you want to dive in and explore everything. The color scheme is cohesive throughout the entire page. The navigation is not confusing and is really easy to follow. Everything is easy to read and easy to find as their layout is clean and very well put together. Overall, this site is extremely people friendly.

https://www.toyota.com/ - First, as soon as you enter their site, your eyes will likely go straight to their scrolling banner image where they showcase their newest vehicles and promotions. This gives their users an idea of what's new with their company.  Their website is very clean with an essay to navigate layout. The color scheme on the site is cohesive throughout. Also, when customers scroll to the bottom of the page, they are given the option to connect with Toyota on different social media platforms.

· How does design, aesthetics, and branding impact your reaction to the websites?

Having a well designed website makes it easier for me to purchase from you. Take Apple for example, their layout makes it easy for a customer to browse through their online store and make a purchase. A well design website also increases the likability of me returning to your online store, and recommending your business to my friends and family. A website with strong branding and aesthetics are more likely to build a regular customer base when compared to sites that lack branding. Branding builds credibility and gives your customers a reason as to why they should trust you. Both Toyota and Apple does an amazing job with building a massive following through the advertisement and branding.

Week 3 A

Have you ever experienced difficulty communicating with a business? With an e-commerce type of business, no. I’ve been really lucky with online purchases. I tend to buy my online goods from stores with high reviews or have a good rating with the BBB board. Any shipping issues that I have encountered in the past, or wrong product received type issues are always handled in a timely and professional manner. Does social media make it easier to get noticed or get your problem solved? Yes, social media makes it easier for companies to see your complaint or praise and respond accordingly. Like once when I had a really bad experience at a Restaurant and posted said experience on Yelp. The restaurant management team replied to me personally with an apology and offered a free dine-in coupon for my next visit. Since social media is extremely popular with everyday people brands with a good marketing team should use social media to address any positive or negative reviews about their compa

Week 10 A - Appealing To Peoples Emotions

When writing a blog, in the beginning, you are basically faceless. By letting people know there is an actual person behind the words on the screen can spark a connection with you and the customer. Ultimately, adding human interest to your blog allows your readers to connect with you and your business in a more personal and relatable way. For me, reading a blog post that is similar to a personal life experience draws me in to read more. I am also emotionally connected with the writer and become more engaged with their content. Effective human-interest blogs can result in your company differentiating itself from their competition. When a human-interest post is well written, it will captivate their audience, and through its uniqueness, produce a bigger fan base and consumer interaction. A human-interest post may be less effective if you are guest blogging for a company. Especially if you are writing from the standpoint of your own personality while disregarding the company’s

Week1A: My Template

When it comes to branding one’s company and or blog, having a correct color scheme is extremely important. Companies like McDonalds and In-N-Out strategically picked a bold rich red and cheerful bright yellow for their companies logo for a reason. “In a study titled “ Impact of color on marketing ,” researchers found that up to 90% of snap judgments made about products can be based on color alone, depending on the product" . So while reviewing the many different templates the website "Blogger"  had to offer, I decided to first research which colors are best for a Real Estate Investment Blog/website, and then build from there.. Through my research, I discovered that the color blue is often associated with trust and dependability . Additionally, the color green is linked to nurturing and education.  Since the main goals with my blog are to generate leads to my primary website, be seen as a legitimate Real Estate Investment company, and be viewed as an extremely knowl
