Week1A: My Template

When it comes to branding one’s company and or blog, having a correct color scheme is extremely important. Companies like McDonalds and In-N-Out strategically picked a bold rich red and cheerful bright yellow for their companies logo for a reason. “In a study titled “Impact of color on marketing,” researchers found that up to 90% of snap judgments made about products can be based on color alone, depending on the product". So while reviewing the many different templates the website "Blogger"  had to offer, I decided to first research which colors are best for a Real Estate Investment Blog/website, and then build from there..

Through my research, I discovered that the color blue is often associated with trust and dependability. Additionally, the color green is linked to nurturing and education. Since the main goals with my blog are to generate leads to my primary website, be seen as a legitimate Real Estate Investment company, and be viewed as an extremely knowledgeable person in my field, I decided to go with Blue and Green for my templates color scheme.

Now, as for the templet, I wanted to go with a design that flowed easily and was user-friendly. I wanted to use a templet that looked professional and was memorable. So I came to the conclusion that I should go with the Notable template. I felt like this template has that sophisticated feel I was looking for, as well as a minimalist and clean appeal to it. I did some adjustment to my selection though. I updated the color scheme to match my needs and wants. All in all, I am happy with my choice.

When first arriving to your blog, I absolutely love the template you chose and how eye-catching it was! While reading through your content I can see that you put a lot of thought into your color choices, images, and layout. The color scheme chosen I agree represents what you stated, and the design I believe is professional. I like that the template isn't busy, and that that the content is the main focus on the page. Great job!

  3. Hello, Chade. I must say that I have found your reasoning behind choosing your blog background design to be rather logical. Your blog has a minimalist, yet professional look, which can be often difficult to achieve without creating the feeling that one is missing something. Fortunately, your blog has managed to a professional appearance with an essence of completeness. I appreciate the fact that you used research to support your assertions about the strategic uses of using colors for branding one's business. By the way, your image featuring the colored pencils effectively added an interesting pop of color to your blog. I look forward to seeing your future posts on this blog.

Week 10 A - Appealing To Peoples Emotions

When writing a blog, in the beginning, you are basically faceless. By letting people know there is an actual person behind the words on the screen can spark a connection with you and the customer. Ultimately, adding human interest to your blog allows your readers to connect with you and your business in a more personal and relatable way. For me, reading a blog post that is similar to a personal life experience draws me in to read more. I am also emotionally connected with the writer and become more engaged with their content. Effective human-interest blogs can result in your company differentiating itself from their competition. When a human-interest post is well written, it will captivate their audience, and through its uniqueness, produce a bigger fan base and consumer interaction. A human-interest post may be less effective if you are guest blogging for a company. Especially if you are writing from the standpoint of your own personality while disregarding the company’s

Week 3 A

Have you ever experienced difficulty communicating with a business? With an e-commerce type of business, no. I’ve been really lucky with online purchases. I tend to buy my online goods from stores with high reviews or have a good rating with the BBB board. Any shipping issues that I have encountered in the past, or wrong product received type issues are always handled in a timely and professional manner. Does social media make it easier to get noticed or get your problem solved? Yes, social media makes it easier for companies to see your complaint or praise and respond accordingly. Like once when I had a really bad experience at a Restaurant and posted said experience on Yelp. The restaurant management team replied to me personally with an apology and offered a free dine-in coupon for my next visit. Since social media is extremely popular with everyday people brands with a good marketing team should use social media to address any positive or negative reviews about their compa
